I am Irish by birth and by nature, English in the raising and culture, and an Oregonian by choice.

I live near Portland with my husband, one dog, five chickens, some goldfish in a pond and numerous grandchildren getting lost in our gardens.  We have fairy houses, bird houses, a tree house, a greenhouse and a chicken house.  My studio is in our house - or sometimes in the hammock!

Toward the tail-end of raising our seven children I began to work with school communities as an artist-in-residence creating murals and large sculptural installations.   We also created individual projects such as couches with families or animal sculptures.

Now I’m focusing on smaller art for little people.  I have six published wordless baby books (Workman Publishing).  My head is full of ideas and stories - more books in the making.
